Photobiomodulation

« Back to Glossary Index

Photobiomodulation (PBM), also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or cold laser therapy, is a medical treatment that uses low-level lasers or light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to stimulate cellular function and promote healing. It involves exposing body tissues to low levels of red or near-infrared light, which is thought to trigger a series of biological responses at the cellular level.
